Got 99 problems, being natural ain’t one

” Your hair is ugly! If only your hair was straight,you would have been more beautiful. From where did you inherit your strange hair? Even your mother is a straight head!”
I have spent my whole teenage life listening to such words from my relatives & friends, but because I didn’t care, my curly hair wasn’t one of them!
Not to mention that I was and I am still in love with my curly hair, I was praying that my daughter would be a curly head too like me. Thank god, I made her embrace her natural hair until she became confident in it. Anyone who would just give a hint about not liking her natural hair, I don’t even give them a chance to say anything about her hair because

I always remind her of how unique & beautiful we look and whenever she sees someone who’s a curly head like us she tells me:
“Look mom, she has a curly hair like ours! “
